Indigenous Pacific Knowledge and Competency Training

We are proud to bring back by popular demand our interactive and informative training for teachers, professionals and practitioners who want to know more about Pacific people and have more confidence to interact effectively with Pacific families and individuals. 

This training scheme is targeted at Pacific and non-Pacific professionals who work with Pacific communities and seek to improve outcomes for Pacific people within the workplace, school or community settings.

The eight-week training is delivered once a week and is designed to fit around working people with a busy schedule. People who will benefit from this programme include:

  *   Principals and teachers within primary and secondary schools

  *   Government representatives and council workers

  *   Social workers and practitioners

  *   Health care workers

This training is informative and interactive and it takes place within a safe learning environment.

Participants will be introduced to core Pacific values, uncover Pacific languages and made to understand Pacific terms that will be expected to explore Pacific cultural practices.

Our NZQA-accredited programme will be facilitated by known Pacific educators and a consortium of Pacific bilingual language tutors.

This training will give you more awareness and understanding about the commonalities and uniqueness of each Pacific culture.

This training is eight weeks long, it is delivered once a week and costs $774.00 + GST per person.
